Have you ever wondered about certain statements you have heard or read  concerning nutrition and exercise? Well, here are three absolutes that can help you eliminate frustration, and road blocks that put your fitness goals on hold.

Please read on and discover The Three Fitness Facts.

1.Strength Training:

Yes, Strength training is essential for fat loss if long term fat loss is what you're looking for. Strength training adds muscle, metabolically active tissue , to your frame and ensures you will  burn fat in your sleep, tone, tighten, shed inches, and fit in clothes that you haven't worn in years.

2. Don't worship the scale:

First let's discuss the starting of your fitness program. It can be a daunting task. You've been following your exercise program and eating your five meals a day, and now it's time to get on the scale. You expect too see some progress. What happen's- nothing. Your body changed- friends noticed ,family can see changes, and you can see some changes.  What happened you ask? Well, you put on muscle at the same time you dropped body fat. This resulted in no change on the scale but, your body changed dramatically. Muscle is dense it takes up less room, hence you lost inches. You wanted the scale to change. I know. Don't worry it will. Pay more attention to the measuring tape, and how your clothes fit,  and before you know it the scale will be your freind again.

3.Spot reduction does not exist:

We have all seen the infomercials touting the latest ab-crunching device. These ab machines are supposed to melt fat away from your mid-section with only a few minutes a day. Strength gains can occur in the abdominal area, but you will not reduce the size of the stomach area. To reduce any part of your body you must have proper nutrition, and exercise. Working a specific area of your body and expecting your body  to reduce in size will not happen. The body is  genetically pre-dispositioned  to take  fat from certain areas of the body . Fat loss could come from upper body, lower body, or face. Just keep exercising and eating right and eventually your fat will leave your  problem area.
